It’s difficult to miss something that no longer exists

Something that was thought to last forever

 But suddenly, forever has been cut short

Even when she thinks she has come to terms

- The pain seeps back in -

- The memories ooze from the corners of her mind -

- The darkness tries to consume, yet again -

But this is only temporary

Soon, it’ll only be a memory

People may say, “Oh she’s heartbroken”

She’s healing

She sees her future ahead - and it is ever so bright

Bright as the blinding, white snow falling from above

She is ready to start anew
